Today’s Focus: Bearing Fruit That Remains
Key Scripture
John 15:16 (KJV):
“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain…”
God’s desire for every believer is not just activity, but lasting impact. Jesus calls us to bear fruit that remains—fruit that endures beyond seasons, circumstances, and time. This speaks of lives transformed, souls won, and godly character produced through our walk with Him. John 15:5; Galatians 5:22–23.
Bearing fruit that remains begins with abiding in Christ. A branch cannot produce fruit on its own; it must stay connected to the vine. In the same way, our effectiveness in the Kingdom flows from intimacy with Jesus. When we abide in His Word and in prayer, His life flows through us, producing results that are not temporary but eternal. John 15:4; Psalm 1:3.
To bear lasting fruit, we must also walk in obedience and consistency. God is not only interested in what we do, but in how faithfully we do it. Small acts of obedience, done consistently, produce great harvests over time. As we remain faithful in witnessing, serving, and living righteously, God multiplies our impact and establishes the work of our hands for His glory. 1 Corinthians 15:58; Colossians 1:10.
Prayer Points
- Lord, help me to abide in You so I can bear fruit that remains.
- Father, remove every distraction that hinders my spiritual productivity.
- Lord, make my life fruitful in righteousness, service, and soul-winning.
Prophetic Declarations
- I declare that I am a branch connected to the true vine, Jesus Christ.
- My life will produce lasting fruit that glorifies God.
- I will not be barren; I am fruitful in every good work.
- The works of my hands are established, and my impact will endure for generations, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
